The last First Friday in Downtown Bentonville was on November 1, 2019.

And after a year in which the COVID-19 pandemic dampened First Friday gatherings in Downtown Bentonville, the monthly community block party is poised to come rolling back on Friday, May 7. 

What can you expect for the first large-scale community event in months (and months...)?

MAY FIRST FRIDAY THEME:

Our May First Friday is aptly themed Welcome Home.  We are excited to welcome the entire community back to Downtown Bentonville!

COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES:

The May First Friday will be a scaled-down event with an expanded footprint to allow for ample distancing. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks, and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the event footprint.

START EARLY:

Before First Friday begins, make sure to join Yoga Story for a lunchtime yoga class on the Bentonville Square. All levels of yoga are invited, and admission is free! Please bring a mat and some water.

Also, don’t miss DWTN Now, our Facebook Live mini-show, every Friday at 12:30 pm.  Dana and Heather will be on the square with a First Friday preview.

NEW FIRST FRIDAY TIMES:

First Fridays will now run from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Please be advised of downtown street closures during this time.

COVID-19 ON-SITE VACCINE CLINIC:

Visit the pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic on N. Main Street from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. No reservations needed, the Pfizer vaccine will be offered.  This clinic is in partnership with Benton County Emergency Services and provided by Collier Drug Stores. Special thanks to Arvest for providing clinic space.

FIRST FRIDAY FUN & ENTERTAINMENT:

• Don’t miss live music from One Penny Shy and Route 358.
• Harley Davidson will be on the Bentonville Square with Jumpstart, a motorcycle ride simulator.
• The Storm Troopers will be roaming our downtown, ready for photo opportunities.
• Cocoon Yoga Lab will have an outdoor aerial rig downtown.
• Art Market will be on the field adjacent to the square and will include music by Sarah Loethen, creativity with The Art Bus, and a rock-climbing wall.  
• Food Trucks on site:  K’Zollis, Wicked Wood Fired Pizza, Buttercup Cupcakery, and more!
• Local Businesses Participating:  Remedy Road, Blue Moon, 211 Cafe, Bentonville Mercantile, Beautiful Lives Bentonville, Happy State Co., Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.
